St Margaret's Close Play Area Improvement Evaluation

St Margarets close play area in its current stateDuring 2022, St Margaret’s Close Play Area, owned by Driffield Town Council, received £43,686.00 funding from Commuted Sums towards the £51,220.00 improvement project.

Driffield Town Council managed the improvements and committed £6,534.00 towards the refurbishment, with The Friends of St Margaret’s Play Area raising further funds of £1,000.00.

These works included installing new play panels with markings on the path to represent a road, 2 flat swings, a basket swing, an inclusive roundabout and a small trampoline.

Following the acquisition of funding from The Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner for Humberside (‘HOPCC’), a new CCTV system was installed and made operational from February 2023 to reduce the levels of anti-social behaviour occurring at the play area.
